List your startup
Listing on Orbital is free. You create a draft, pass a short checklist, request verification, and a human reviews your submission before it goes live on the marketplace.

Create a draft
A draft holds everything a visitor sees on your startup page:

You can save and return to a draft as often as you like before requesting verification.
Market signals
The "Raising funds" and "Open to acquisition" signals are filters in the marketplace, so investors and acquirers browsing Orbital can find founders who are open to those conversations. Turning one on tells visitors you welcome the approach.
Signals start conversations — nothing more
Market signals are self-declared by founders. Orbital does not process investments or acquisitions, hold funds, or verify fundraising claims. A startup marked as open to acquisition conversations is exactly that: a founder saying they are willing to talk. Where this is heading is covered in Vision.
The verification checklist
Before you can request verification, your listing must pass a 7-point checklist:
- A complete profile with display name and job title
- A description of at least 200 characters
- A website
- An X profile
- At least 1 category
- At least 1 team member
- All fields within their limits
The checklist is shown after every save, so you always know what is left.
Human review
Every submission is reviewed by a human, who approves or rejects it. There is no automated pass. Once approved, your startup is published to the marketplace and appears on The Orbital, and Orbital posts an announcement about your launch on X.

Automated domain and X ownership verification is planned to strengthen the process. Review stays human either way — approval is never fully automatic.
Listing lifecycle
A listing moves through four states: draft → pending review → verified → published.
A few rules to know:
- Editing your website or X link after verification resets the listing to unverified, since those links are part of what was reviewed. Other edits do not.
- You can archive a published startup at any time, which removes it from the marketplace.
- Archived startups can be permanently deleted.
After publishing
Your work is not done at publish. Featured placement puts your startup at the top of the marketplace and gives it a gold marker on the globe — see Featured listings. And make sure your X or Telegram handle is set on your profile, since that is how people reach you.
