Getting started

Orbital takes about a minute to join. You can browse the marketplace without an account, but you need one to list a startup or feature it.

Three ways to sign in

Sign in with email, Google, or a Solana wallet. Authentication is powered by Privy.

If you sign in with email or Google, you do not need a wallet, a seed phrase, or any prior crypto setup. Orbital creates an embedded Solana wallet for you automatically on first login. If you already use a wallet like Phantom or Solflare, connect it directly and it becomes your login.

Your wallet

Every account has a Solana wallet behind it — either the external one you connected or the embedded one Orbital created for you.

Embedded wallets are built for a one-click experience: actions that touch the chain, such as buying a featured listing, are single-signature and complete without pop-up gymnastics.

Linking accounts

Your login methods all resolve to one account.

  • External wallets can be linked to an account created with email or Google. They attach to the same profile and startups.
  • Wallet-first users can link an email address by confirming a one-time code. Once linked, that email also works as a login method. We store it so we can reach you when platform notifications ship — email notifications themselves are still on our roadmap.

Your first session

After login, guided onboarding routes you to the next pending step:

  1. Complete your profile — a display name and job title are the minimum.
  2. List your first startup — see List your startup.
  3. Explore the marketplace — see Discover.

A floating checklist tracks the first two steps. It is dismissible if you would rather wander.

Your public profile

Every user gets a public profile:

  • orbitalhub.dev/<username> once you claim a username
  • orbitalhub.dev/u/<wallet> always works

Your profile shows your display name, job title, bio, avatar, and your X and Telegram handles — the same identity that appears on the team section of any startup you belong to.

Wallet and email panels

The profile page in your dashboard includes two panels:

  • Wallet panel — your SOL and USDC balances, a copyable wallet address, and an Add funds flow. The built-in onramp lets you fund the wallet by card or by transfer from an exchange, so you can buy a featured listing without ever leaving Orbital.
  • Email panel — the email linked to your account, or the option to link one.

Today vs. roadmap

Gas-sponsored transactions for embedded wallets — so users never need SOL for fees — are built and awaiting activation. Email notifications are planned; today we only capture the address.
